We rent recreational and fishing kayaks, stand up paddleboards (SUPs) and deliver them to you. We also rent fishing poles and equipment, Garmin FishFinders, GoPros, and floating water mats.

All kayak and SUP rentals include paddle and personal flotation device.

*We will deliver to your home, Airbnb, launch site, etc for free if you are within 10 miles of Chimney Rock Marina (no affiliation) on Herrington Lake, Kentucky ($35 minimum purchase). There will be a $3 per mile delivery charge for delivery location outside the 10 mile radius (20 mile max).

Rules and Regulations

-All paddlers/users must sign a liability waiver, guardian must sign for any minors
-All renters must be over 18 years old and must sign a damage and terms of rental agreement*
*Renters are fully financially responsible for damage/loss/theft of rented items (replacement costs listed below)

–Minimum age to paddle kayak or SUP is 8 years old, minor must have an adult on water with them

Waiver and Rental Agreement: Renters will be required to sign a liability waiver and Damage and Terms of Rental Agreement. The liability waiver can be completed during the booking process online or on delivery. Upon delivery and return the renter will need to inspect the kayak/SUP and sign the Damage and Rental Agreement agreeing to pay for any damages or loss/theft of rented item(s). Replacement costs are listed above, and replacement costs for paddles and personal flotation devices are $50 each. There will be a $50 hold on credit card that will be released when rented items are returned undamaged.

Online booking fee: The online booking software automatically adds a 6% service fee to your total (plus 6% Kentucky sales tax). If you would like to avoid the online booking software 6% fee, please email us with the details of your desired rental and a phone number, and we will manually book your rental.

Frequently Asked Questions

What launch sites are included in free delivery? Lake: Kamp Kennedy, Pandora, Chimney Rock, Cane Run, Royalty’s, Sunset, Herrington Lake, Kings Mill, Coffey’s Cove, Gwinn Island, Mid Lake, and The Cove Marinas are all within free delivery zone. Many (but not all) of these charge $5 for launching a kayak or SUP. Rivers: Shaker’s landing at Shaker Village and Camp Nelson boat ramp (Kentucky River) and several Salt river launch sites (Ramp 3, Dry Branch Road Access) are within the free delivery area.

Do you offer guided tours or kayak/paddleboard lessons? At this time we are not scheduling regular guided tours or lessons. However, if you have a group that is interested in this, please email us at cox-rowe@kayakrental.com and we may be able to schedule it.

Are you open year round? We will be open from April 1st until October 31st.

Where is your store located at? We are a mobile rental company–this means we do not have a store-front, but instead deliver kayaks and paddleboards to you, and pick them up when you are finished. We deliver to marinas and various boat launches, but will also deliver to your home, rental/Airbnb, etc.
